Please do note that we are aware of the issue that chest protection is not working. Wonktnod, the creator of the plugin is working hard to fix this issue. Here are some words from Wonkt.
I apologize for the delay in the upcoming update, this time of year is rather burdensome for my line of work.
If i can manage my time spent on this like I want, I expect the update to be ready next week.

The random chests becoming unprotected bug is due to an inconsistency with the getBlockAt function. At server load, this function is called to determine if a saved location is actually a chest, and sometimes this information is inaccurate.
